Washington Post.Online for Sewanee

The library has acquired an online subscription to The Washington Post, a daily newspaper, published in Washington, D.C., and considered to be among the most influential American newspapers alongside The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

The new subscription provides Sewanee students, faculty, and staff with access to the browsable web version of the newspaper with no need to set up a personal account. The subscription is web-only and access with device apps is currently unavailable.

  https://www.washingtonpost.com/

No login is needed, you will have access to all content.

How to access -- FROM OFF-CAMPUS

From a computer not on campus and not using the University wi-fi network, use this link:

https://0-www-washingtonpost-com.catalog.sewanee.edu/

You will get the following login screen:

Type in your name, and the Barcode number from your University-Issued ID. This number is directly above the barcode and usually starts with the number "2".

You will be redirected to the Washington Post website. There is no need to log in on that site.

Note: The Washington Post is not compatible with our usual authentication system, OpenAthens. We had to use a different proxy server to provide access. This connection is likely to be quite slow. We apologize for the inconvenience.
