Can I borrow materials as a Community Member?
- You must be affiliated with:
- University of the South
- St. Andrew’s-Sewanee (SAS) school
- Or be a permanent resident of Sewanee, Franklin County, or one of the Tennessee counties bordering Franklin County.
- You must be 8 years old or older.
- Children under the age of 18 need to have a parent or guardian with them when applying for a library card, with the exception of SAS students. A photo ID must be shown with application.
- Replacement cards are available for $10.00 each.
How long can I borrow a book?
- 5 weeks for books for Community Members
- Renew up to 2 times (in person, online, or over the phone)
Movies, Music, and Audio Books
Movies
- Checked out for 7 days
- May not be renewed
- Check out 5 films at a time
- Must be 18 or older to check out R-rated or Mature-Rated videos
Music
- Checked out for 3 days
- Check out 3 CDs at a time
Audio Books
- Checked out for 5 weeks
- Check out 3 audio books at a time
- We also offer streaming audiobooks and ebooks from Overdrive
