Turn in ~2-3 double-spaced pages that integrate the questions below. You should have at least 2 sources on your case. I encourage you to dig deep as often times we hear about the same 4 cases. See if you can come up with one that no one else uncovers.
Due for class discussion by Friday, March 3 in class. But if you need extra time to polish the writing, the following Monday Mar 6 by 9am is OK - no penalty.
Links to databases to explore ARPA Cases are here. Find Legal Resources on NexisUni.
Native American news sources are also included on this page--scroll down. Go to the Find Journal Articles tab on the left side of this page for other ways to search for scholarly resources.
Nexis Uni allows you to do a search in the main search box and then look through various source types that fit your search, like News, Law Reviews, Cases, Statutes, etc. In the search results below, you can see that there are 10 News sources, 93 Law Reviews and Journals, etc.
Get to Nexis Uni Advanced Search here.
You may want to use tribal news sources for your ARPA project, but these can be hard to find and are probably not in Nexis Uni or most of our other library databases. This list provides some tribal news sources. (Thanks to librarians at University of Oregon and Oklahoma State for this information.) You can search any of these sites on Google by typing your keywords followed by site: with the site address. For example "tribal jurisdiction site:navajotimes.com".
