When searching for books related to Contemporary Chinese Art, you will want to search in a couple ways:

1. For Print Books in our Library's Collection, search for the artist's name or for general art and art history books, search ("Contemporary Chinese Art") OR (Chinese AND "Contemporary art")
2. For eBooks, books, and other media (not articles), search by artist's name, the artwork's title, or for general art and art history books
   1. ("Contemporary Chinese Art") OR (Chinese AND "Contemporary art")
      1. You could narrow by looking for a type of art tradition, medium, or time period

Generally, Art History books are found on the third floor of the library in the N sections. The TR and TT sections are on the ground floor of the library.

How to read Library of Congress call numbers

Use TigerSearch to:

• Use TigerSearch to identify and locate books, video, audio and other material in our library.
• Figure out your search terms. For example, Folk Music and Appalachia. 
• When you find your book, look around at the books around it. You may end up finding other great resources.

Use WorldCat to:

• Identify materials held by other libraries around the world.
• If Sewanee doesn't own it, then you can request it through interlibrary loan. See the box below. 

Use Google Books to:

• Search the full-text of some books. 
• Find other sources that will be useful to your search.
