With your Sewanee email address, you can create a free personal account at The Economist. Our university site license includes full access to the website on your computer or mobile device with content back to 1997. You will also be able to listen to audio and podcasts, sign up for live digital events, and receive specialist newsletters.

Go to the Economist registration site at https://myaccount.economist.com/s/login/SelfRegister?

Enter your name, your Sewanee email address, and choose a password, and click on Create Account. You will be sent a verification email. You will need to click on the “verify email” button in the body of the email. Once this is completed, you can then go to Economist.com and login with your new account.  

If you already have an account with the Economist using your Sewanee email address, you should change this to your personal email. This will allow you to register under our university subscription with your Sewanee email address.
