April 17th is International Haiku Day, so we thought this April we’d take a look back at where this traditional Japanese form originated and where its place is within the contemporary sphere. Whether you’re looking for historical context on the form, biographies of the masters, or the poems themselves, this display has got you covered. Find it on the coffee tables in duPont! All of the books are available for checkout and you can view a title list here.

Earth Day is coming up on April 22nd, and all too often, we see the environments and ecosystems of Earth treated as simple resources and commodities. This display not only aims to highlight the beauty and splendor of our world, but also to encourage us to pay the kind of attention the Earth deserves. The display will be featured in the main lobby for all of April! All of the books are available for checkout and you can view a title list here.

Explore the rich and diverse contributions of Arab Americans to the cultural, social, and political fabric of the United States. From the early immigrants who helped shape the nation’s growth to the contemporary voices pushing for change, discover the depth and breadth of Arab American experiences. See our display in the newspaper section! All of the books are available for checkout and you can view a title list here.

This month in the Children's area, we feature books about pets! All of the books are available for checkout and you can view a title list here.
