Sewanee School of Theology Library Guide: About our community

Gathering of information especially for the students at the School of Theology

Sewanee Mountain Messenger

The free weekly newspaper for Sewanee and the surrounding area is also available online (in color!)

Sewanee Today

This campus web page includes what is happening today and tomorrow, with the option for viewing the coming week.  News items also are on this page.

Campus Map

The map of campus includes buildings, streets, and parking areas.  The Landscape Analysis Lab (in Spencer) provides a map of the domain.

School of Theology

The School of Theology has a wonderful web site.  It includes the long calendar (quite detailed), which is sometimes hard to find.

Where to get coffee

Stirlings, just beyond the library on Georgia Avenue.

The Blue Chair, in downtown Sewanee

The Globe, attached to the bookstore

Make your own in the library--two of the water "coolers" include a red handle for water hot enough to brew tea, mix with hot chocolate mix, or make instant coffee. These machines are on the first floor, around the corner from the central staircase, and in the Courtyard on the ground floor. Please make sure that your cup has a cover.

Caffeine is also available from beverage vending machines which are located around campus, including the ground floor of the library.  There are also snack vending machines next to most of the beverage vending machines.
