Most of the library resources for the School of Theology are housed on the third floor of the Jessie Ball duPont Library. The entire Theology collection including Theology Reference, Theology Periodicals (current and bound), Diocesan Journals, as well as the general collection for Philosophy, Psychology, Religion, World Religions are all located on the third floor. There are also 16 computers, a photocopier, and numerous study tables and carrels. The Urban T. Holmes reading area is furnished with comfortable leather overstuffed furniture. Most importantly, the third floor is the "quiet" study floor in the library, a very coveted space for everyone who needs to focus on research and learning. Please enjoy your visit!

The T&T Clark Jesus Library offers students and scholars of religion and biblical studies core resources for studying the life of Jesus and his impact in history and culture. The database contains over 60 individual ebooks, a brand new reference work on the Reception of Jesus in the First Three Centuries, and topical articles commissioned exclusively for the collection, written by leading academics.
Brill´s New Pauly is the English-language version of a major authoritative encyclopedia, originally published in German, on practically all aspects of the ancient Greek and Roman world. The bulk of its coverage is devoted to Greco-Roman antiquity, encompassing a span of more than two thousand years from the second millennium BCE to early medieval Europe. Special attention is given to interactions between Greco-Roman culture and Semitic, Celtic, Germanic, and Slavic cultures. In addition to various forms of polytheism, the treatment of ancient religion includes aspects of ancient Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The coverage of the classical tradition deals with the long and influential aftermath of antiquity and the process of continuous reinterpretations and revaluations of the ancient heritage, including the history of classical scholarship. Academic Ebook Collection -- This multidisciplinary collection includes thousands of e-books covering a large selection of academic subjects and features e-books from leading publishes and university presses. It is a subscription collection. The title list that they sent to me has 201,528 titles.
There is no separate link to this collection. The titles have been added to our EBSCOhost Ebook Collection. They are showing up in TIGERSEARCH.
Academic Search Ultimate – This is EBSCO’s main interdisciplinary periodical database. It includes:
9,283 active full-text journals and magazines
8,453 active, full-text, peer-reviewed journals
6,410 active, full-text, peer-reviewed journals with no embargo
5,307 active full-text journals indexed in Web of Science or Scopus

NOTE: These articles have already been incorporated into EBSCO discovery (TigerSearch and Publication Finder). There will be a delay before all of the new journals show up in Browzine. By limiting your searches to full text only resources, you will have instant access to materials available online. Hopefully, this will be a helpful tip during these extraordinary times.
Beginning this semester, the Library is implementing a new system to provide access to electronic resources. The new system is called OpenAthens, and will use single sign-on authentication. Some of the benefits of OpenAthens are a more secure and reliable experience and no more "proxy error" access issues. All library patrons must log in to access online resources regardless of whether they are on or off-campus. The login credentials are the same as the ones you use for Banner and campus email. (Tip: leave off @sewanee.edu from your username; your password is the Banner password)
