February 2025 - Historic Black Poetry and Blind Date with a Book

by Pat Dover on 2025-02-03T08:10:00-06:00 | 0 Comments

African American poets have always been at the forefront of change, demanding that their readers engage the world through alternative lenses. Steeped in culture and traditions, their poetry captures both the euphoria and ache present in everyday life. This Black History Month, we look to these works—to remember the past, and to shine a light forward. These selections are available for checkout, and a title list can be viewed here.

Expand your horizons by going on a blind date with a book, featuring a variety of fiction and authors! Find our colorful display in the Newspaper section!
