November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the incredibly diverse cultures and traditions of Native people. Despite centuries of harmful policies and oppression, Native peoples continue to stand, proud and powerful, making incredible contributions to both their own Tribal sovereignties as well as to the Nation we all share. Throughout this month, we honor all Native peoples, commemorating the continuing cultural leadership that allows Indigenous communities to grow and thrive.
Each Veterans Day, we honor all of the brave, incredible people who have served our country. What started as Armistice Day, a holiday to commemorate the end of hostilities of World War I, now celebrates all veterans for their patriotism, work, and sacrifice in the service of our common good. This display highlights numerous aspects of the lives, heritage, and commemorations of our veterans, in recognition of all they do.
