How to find books using different tools at duPont Library, Sewanee, TN

eBooks at Sewanee

An eBook, also known as an electronic book or digital book, is a book that exists in electronic form, whether it started as a print book or not.

Sewanee has access to about 1 million eBooks, and almost all are in the libraries' catalog.

You can read our eBooks on many devices, including

  • computers
  • laptops
  • tablets
  • e-readers
  • smart phones

Downloading eBooks from Library Computers

Some of our ebooks have DRM (Digital Rights Management) software, which is used by some publishers to prevent unauthorized reproduction of their books.

  • Therefore, it is impossible to transfer DRM-protected ebooks from a library computer to most e-readers (e.g., Nook). You can read them on the computer, but not transfer them.
