Students, faculty, and staff of the University of the South use their ID cards as their library cards.
If you don’t have a University ID, in order to qualify for a library card, you must be:
Sewanee Alumni-(NO charge)
Affiliated with St. Andrew’s-Sewanee (SAS) school-(SAS students & Faculty NO charge)
A permanent resident of Sewanee
A permanent resident of Franklin County
A permanent resident of one of the Tennessee counties bordering Franklin County(also Jackson County, AL)
A visiting scholar
A family member of faculty or staff
Applying for a library card?
A photo ID must be shown, if eligible.
You must be at least 8 years old.
If you’re under 18, you must have a parent/guardian with you when applying, unless you’re a St. Andrew’s-Sewanee student.
$10.00 charge for a new card or a replacement card (cash or check only).
Contact Circulation Staff if your address, phone number, or email address changes.
