Library Cards

Students, faculty, and staff of the University of the South use their ID cards as their library cards.

 

If you don’t have a University ID, in order to qualify for a library card, you must be:

  • Sewanee Alumni-(NO charge)

  • Affiliated with St. Andrew’s-Sewanee (SAS) school-(SAS students & Faculty NO charge)

  • A permanent resident of Sewanee

  • A permanent resident of Franklin County

  • A permanent resident of one of the Tennessee counties bordering Franklin County(also Jackson County, AL)

  • A visiting scholar

  • A family member of faculty or staff

 

Applying for a library card?

  • A photo ID must be shown, if eligible.

  • You must be at least 8 years old.

  • If you’re under 18, you must have a parent/guardian with you when applying, unless you’re a St. Andrew’s-Sewanee student.

  • $10.00 charge for a new card or a replacement card (cash or check only).
