This year for Pride Month we are highlighting a variety of mysteries that have been written by LGBTQ+ authors or that feature LGBTQ+ central characters. You will find everything from cozy mysteries to gritty thrillers and even some true crime titles from Truman Capote and James St. James. Many of these titles and authors are Lambda Award winners. All of the books are available for checkout.
This display, located in our Newspapers area, includes titles written or mentioned by guests of the We Can Do Hard Things podcast with Glennon Doyle, her sister Amanda, and her wife Abby Wambach. These books collectively represent the essence of the podcast, started by Glennon in the summer of 2020. She says, "life is freaking HARD. We are all doing hard things every single day - things like loving and losing; caring for children and parents; forging and ending friendships; battling addiction, illness, and loneliness; struggling in our job, our marriages, and our divorces; setting boundaries; and fighting for equality, purpose, freedom, joy, and peace." Followers of the podcast, lovingly referred to as the pod squad, help each other carry the hard and in turn have found strength and hope in this community of listeners. All titles are available for checkout.
