Jessie Ball duPont Library

Sewanee Interlibrary Loan Services

How to use Sewanee ILL to request materials such as books, media, book chapters, and journal articles from other libraries and institutions.

Who can use interlibrary loan?

Generally, any duPont Library user who is at least 18 and has a current library card that is in good standing may use interlibrary loan. Special permission to use our services may be given to others on a case-by-case basis. For interlibrary loan users who reside outside our service area, we suggest requesting an item through your local library as the most efficient method of obtaining a loan (items such as books that are physically delivered to you instead of electronically). University alumni must also qualify as community residents to use our services. Please contact Sewanee ILL by phone at 931-598-1697 or email sewaneeill@sewanee.edu if you have questions.
