Jessie Ball duPont Library

Find Audio and Video

How to find audio and video using various tools.

Streaming Music

The Library provides access to thousands of streaming audios, both music and spoken word, through two major subscription packages. Many, but not all, of the works can be found using TigerSearch, but each database platform offers different searching and browsing experiences.  Naxos Music Library offers mostly classical music, whereas hoopla contains music from many genres, including classical, pop, folk, rock, country, dance, Latin, new age, jazz, movie soundtracks, fitness and workout music, and more.

Digital AudioBooks

The Library has digital audiobooks from OverDrive and hoopla.

OverDrive has audiobooks that the library has purchased specifically to support the curriculum, as well as some popular titles and titles of visiting authors. There are two ways to access streaming audiobooks from OverDrive: you can use the free Libby app with your mobile device or go to Sewanee.overdrive.com to borrow and enjoy digital titles on your computer.  View the OverDrive Guide for more information.

Hoopla offers audiobooks in a number of genres including biography, children's books, classics, mystery, romance, sci-fi, sports, teen, thriller, self-help, and more.
